Industry Distribution of Magazine
With Centerfold Article And Advertisement
The prizes
will be highlighted in a four-page centerfold article and color
advertisement in Creative
Screenwriting Magazine, which circulates to screenwriters,
directors, and producers worldwide.
To ensure maximum exposure for winners’ films, Creative Screenwriting
will print more than 1,000 promotional copies of the issue containing
this centerfold (probably November-December 2011) and distribute these
promotional copies to individuals and companies including:
-- 300+ individuals at more than 150 independent film buyers
-- At least 700 production company and studio execs
-- About 100 Writers' Guild and Directors' Guild signatory writer and
director agents and writer and director personal managers and
management companies.
Press Release To Entertainment Trade Press
Media will be invited to the festival, and press releases will be put
on the trade press wires before, during, and after the festival,
drawing industry attention to the festival and to the winners.
E-mail Blast to
Blast List of 120,000+
The festival will be promoted to two email blast lists of 300,000+ and
120,000+ to raise its visibility beforehand. Afterward, prize
winners will be announced to the Creative Screenwriting E-blast and
screening lists of writers, directors, producers, agents, and managers.
Trailers Posted at the
Screenwriting Expo Film Fest Web Site
Winning Films will be guaranteed the publicity value of being posted
for at least a year at the festival web site (or at a high-bandwidth
site through a link at our site).
Film Festival Awards
Dinner:
An Awards Dinner will be held at a venue in or near the Westin Los
Angeles Airport Sunday Night, Sept. 18, 2011, at 7 p.m. Festival
winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner. Each feature or
short narrative filmmaker will receive one pass to the Awards Dinner.
Screenings Prizes
The festival will screen at least 10 finalist feature films and at
least 10 finalist short narrative films over the four days of Sept.
15-18, 2011. If the festival draws sufficient entries, the
festival will seek additional screening locations and select more films
for screening.
Third-Party Sponsor Prizes
The festival will seek sponsors to offer additional in-kind or other
prizes. Watch for announcements.

$1,000 Prize For Jury
Choice Of Best Feature Film
In addition, the Best Feature Film winner will receive reimbursement
for a $350 Gold Pass to the Screenwriting Expo (which runs concurrently
with the festival), plus reimbursement up to $500 for costs of
transportation to the festival, plus up to four nights’ lodging at the
festival headquarters hotel during the festival.
$750 Prize for Audience
Choice Feature Film
The Audience Choice winner will be the audience’s
favorite film. If the “Best Feature Film” winner is also
the first choice for this prize, the prize will be given to the
runnerup and the two films will be announced as winner and runnerup.
$300 For Best Feature Film
Runnerup
The Best Feature Film Runnerup will be the film
chosen as next-best other than the Audience Choice, should the Audience
Choice be second in the judging.
Short Narrative Films:
$500 First Prize
For Best Narrative Short Film
In addition, the Best Narrative Film winner
will receive reimbursement for a $350 Gold Pass to the Screenwriting
Expo plus reimbursement up to $500 for actual costs of transportation
to the festival plus up to four nights’ lodging at the festival
headquarters hotel during the festival.
$250 Prize for Audience
Choice Short Film
The Audience Choice winner will be the audience’s
favorite
film. If the “Best Narrative Short Film” winner is also the
first choice for
this prize, the prize will be given to the runnerup and the two
films
will be announced as winner and runnerup.
